Hope all you MADD fans enjoyed Terry’s magic trick from yesterday, Today we have been repping hard again over at the MADD stand. I have also been getting some pics of the crazy setups they have here for the riders at FISE so over the next few days im going to try and show you, above is the rollin to the HUGE!! Megaramp. Its crazy how many people are here already I would not like to even have a guess at how many but by Saturday I am sure there will be well over 10,000 people at the festival for sure. It’s crazy to see so many people at an extreme sports event and we are super stoked to be here this year.
Brock and Felix ride the Pro comp on Saturday so they were riding hard again before rain ended the day for everyone and the park was closed, Terry and Giz have been supporting them both from all the way from up in the VIP stand NIIICEE!! And I am sure that all you guys are behind them as well. Hopefully the rain will stay away for the next few days and thanks again to the hundreds of MADD fans that have been able to come and chill with us.
So today was the first official day at FISE and for some of us it is the first time we have been to the festival so we did not know what to expect. We arrived early at the MADD stand to meet up with Felix Kirch (MGP BMX EUR) & to finish our last bit of setting up before the spectators came in to the trade area, so as Brock & Felix went off to register for the comp we had a chance to have a look around the amazing setup they have here, with a choice of three skateparks for the different sports and a HUGE!! Mega ramp so we are all juiced to see what is going to go down over the next few days.
Both our MGP BMX riders hit up the park to get a feel before the qualifiers & they are both shredding, getting props from everyone for some seriously sick riding & Ricky was there to capture some of their tricks for the edit.
Over at the MADD stand we had hundreds of people coming to get a can of MADD energy but unfortunately that was not to last as Red Bull had given the order to shut us down!!! But that did not stop the party so we cranked up the music from the MADD van & showed Europe how MGP roll. Terry even managed to learn a magic trick that he wanted everyone to see..
We have had a sick time so far & we are all topping up our tans in the sun and chilling with some of the MADD fans that have made it down!

I just wanted to do a little recap of this weekend’s contest at The incline club in lakewood, New Jersey !
It’s my local skatepark, so i had a hometown advantage. Well, i woke up at 6 am to get ready for the contest.
Drove down to the skatepark at 7 am before everyone got there to set up the Maddgear booth/tent. It was a bit of work,
but it turned out looking great ! Had tons of stickers, some bracelets,
shirts, and more ! The rest of the team got there around 8 or so. We have already ridden for awhile the day before so we
didn’t really want to over work ourselves and especially because there were hundreds of kids riding ! We hung out at the
booth and gave out some free stuff and did some autograph’s. Then before you knew it Pewee, was underway. Then Beginner
started only an hour or 2 after that. There were almost 100 beginner’s so that took awhile. It was really great watching the little guys
ride. Then Intermediate started and better watch out these kids kill it. There was a lot of Intermediate’s as-well but it was very interesting
to watch them ride and see all of the different developing style’s. Before you knew it, Intermediate was finished. Pro started and everyone from MGP
made the final top 8 ! I ended up getting 3rd place, Joe armstrong came in first place! and peter jungsberger came in 5th place. We all did great and had
an amazing time. Best trick was insane. I landed my first ever flair barspin late barspin and i backflipped a gnarly gap. I ended up splitting the best trick prizes
with Hunter Bechtle who did bar bartwist double whip over the 2nd box. We all walked away with something! MGP took over this contest!
Went to a little session at a close friend’s house with everyone from the contest. It was insane. I ended up learning opposite flairs on his mini ramp that night.
It was just an overall great time and great day. Thank you everyone for coming out and i hope to see you all at the next contest !
“Today was an awesome day for me! A contest at my local? What could be better! Such a fun day, we were the biggest stand at the contest with a huge booth. We had 2 qualifying runs 45 seconds each. Peter Collin and I all had really good runs and all made it to finals. It ended with Peter in fifth, Collin in third and myself in 1st! It was so awesome and I walked away with $2000 in my pocket. Such a great way to end the day, and about to get an official camera setup for once! So be stoked for some high quality videos. Again Stay MADD!” Joe Armstrong
Bonjour! Giving you guys a heads up that Brock Horneman (MGP BMX AUS), Terry Price (MGP Scoot UK) & Giz Radford (MADD Girls UK) are road tripping their way to FISE for the BMX competition in Montpellier, France. Some of you guys might not of heard of FISE but it is one of the BIGGEST!! Competitions in the European extreme sports calendar & over the four days it will be attracting some of the biggest names from all over the world.
Heading there in the MGP UK tour van with our MADD Media videographer Ricky Johnson they will be making a SICK!! tour video of everything; travelling just under 800 miles from London to the south of France. We have been on the road for three days now & we have already taken in the amazing sights of Paris visiting some of the most famous landmarks in the world & even survived a trip around The Arc De Triumph, if you’ve never drove round it you’re missing out!
We have even been doing some riding in Lyon getting some nice clips before the police shut down the filming session at a local park. Brock has been killing it showing the Lyon locals how it’s done in preparation for FISE & Giz has been shredding it, repping hard for the girls which is SICK!! Today we are on the last part of the journey to Montpellier where the competition is being held, the journey so far has been amazing with amazing views whilst we have been on the road & the weather is super nice fingers crossed it holds up for the rest of the week.
All three of them will be repping MGP at FISE with Terry & Giz on our MADD stand there & Brock competing in the BMX comp! Keep an eye out on the blog to see what is going on & how Brock is doing, or even better come along to FISE & we’ll see you there!
Madd Europe riders Petr Machacek, Dani Schlabs and Carlos Monné were at the annual Big Time Scootering competition in Linz, organized by Gizmania. With a big field of riders under 15, over 15 and pro it was another great day for all with lot´s of good riding and fun.
Monné and Dani unfortunately hurt respectively their ankle and heel so had to take it a bit easier in their qualification runs. Petr killed it though and scored the absolute highest score of all competitors for the whole day with 89,1 points in his second qualifying run!
His run in the final was unfortunately awarded with slightly less points, despite his frontflip drop in. He still finished in a good 2nd place! Congratulations to Benj on scoring highest in the final!
Petr has taken 12 year old Richard Zelinka who came 6th in the Pro comp under his wings, on his new Extreme She Devil we expect great things from this very talented kid and wish him good luck!
Speaking of young talent, our German flow team riders Corbi and Felix won the 15- and 15+ competitions so all in all it was a great day for us.
